An introduction to Adobe Firefly Services for developers: what the API family covers, and a map of the 8-part series on auth, models, and production use.
Firefly Services is a set of REST APIs, not one API and not an app. A tour of the family and where each job belongs in your pipeline.
Access tokens, signed URLs and failure handling: the auth and storage details that break Firefly API calls before a pixel renders.
Async-only endpoints, the x-model-version header, and the non-backward-compatible Image5 schema: what changed in the Firefly image models.
Seeds, negativePrompt, reference strength and visualIntensity: the four parameters that make Firefly generations deterministic and repeatable.
Expand, Fill and Similar: how the three Firefly image-adaptation endpoints differ and how to reuse an uploaded source across parallel jobs.
Subject and style model training, and the sharing step and headers needed before a custom Firefly model is callable from the API.
Photoshop API v1 is retired. What moved to v2, including manifests, smart object replacement and text editing.
Training data, indemnification and provenance: the three commercial-safety questions to ask before Firefly output ships in an ad.
